Signs you need this repair

What actually goes wrong
On most Galaxy and Pixel phones the charging port sits on its own sub-board, so a bad port is a quick part swap. When a phone still will not charge with a new sub-board fitted, the fault is on the main board — usually the charging chip or the overvoltage protection in front of it, which a faulty fast charger can take out. That is where board-level repair comes in.
Boot loops and heat with the screen off often mean a component shorting on one of the supply lines, drawing current all the time. We trace it with a bench supply and thermal imaging and replace the failed part. Storage failure is the other boot-loop cause, and it is the one we cannot fix — we will tell you plainly if that is what the diagnostic shows.
Like iPhones, modern Android phones encrypt their storage to the device itself, and manufacturer service centres replace the whole board. Repairing the original board is the only route back to the data on it.
Foldables add hinge flex cables and board-to-board connectors that move every time the phone opens. A fault that comes and goes with the angle of the hinge is usually a flex or connector rather than a dead screen, and it is worth diagnosing before paying for a display.
