What actually goes wrong
Anything built on a circuit board can develop the same faults as a phone or laptop: a damaged port, a shorted supply rail, a corroded connector or a failed power chip. The techniques are identical. What changes from device to device is how much documentation and how many parts exist for it, so this side of the workshop works by enquiry — tell us the make, model and fault, and we will tell you honestly whether it is a job we can take on.
Drones and their controllers are the most common enquiry here. Hard landings and water landings crack joints, tear connectors and corrode boards, and DJI does not repair at component level. Ports, power circuits and connectors are usually repairable; flight controller and sensor faults are assessed case by case.
Cameras, studio audio and premium speakers often fail at the power or charging circuit, or at a port worn through use. Those are repairable at board level and frequently worth doing on equipment that is expensive to replace.
