Signs you need this repair

  • Screen or battery connector ripped off the board
  • Display or Face ID stopped working after a screen replacement
  • A previous shop or a DIY repair "made it worse"
  • Visible broken trace or missing pad under magnification
  • Connector looks fine but the part it holds never works

What actually goes wrong

Flex connectors are tiny, and a rushed screen or battery replacement can lever one straight off the board — sometimes taking its pads with it. A connector that only lost its solder can be refitted. One that tore its pads away needs new pads laid down and the missing connections rebuilt with fine jumper wire before a new connector is fitted.

Broken traces and damaged vias are repaired the same way: the damaged copper is exposed, cleaned and bridged, then sealed so it stays put. The repair is checked under the microscope and electrically before the device is reassembled.

We see a lot of boards that another shop, or a YouTube tutorial, has already had a go at. That is fine — tell us what was attempted, because it helps the diagnosis. We will say honestly whether the damage is recoverable.
