Our Story
Harry Nicholson started iRepair Labs in Newcastle in 2014, repairing iPhones and other Apple devices. It has grown into an independent workshop at 119 New Bridge Street, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 2SW that fixes phones, tablets, Macs, Windows and gaming laptops, games consoles, watches and drones.
Most jobs are everyday repairs — screens, batteries, charging ports — done in-house, usually the same day when the part is in stock. Alongside that, our board-level technician takes on the work most shops send away: component-level motherboard repair, liquid damage, BIOS and firmware faults, and devices that won't power on at all.
We're independent, not an Apple Authorised Service Provider. That means we can often repair a board or part a manufacturer would only replace, and we tell you exactly what is going into your device before you agree to the work.
Every repair starts with a diagnosis and a fixed quote. Nothing is carried out without your go-ahead, and if a repair isn't worth the money, we'll tell you that too.
Advanced diagnostics, not just parts replacement
When a laptop or console won't power on, we trace the fault on the board instead of quoting for a new one. Board work is diagnosed first and quoted before anything is done — locally, or by post from anywhere in the UK.
