For repair shops, refurbishers and businesses

Trade Micro Soldering & Board Repair

The board jobs you turn away, sent to a specialist board-level technician working in-house in Newcastle. Every job is diagnosed and quoted to you before any work, and comes back to you — never to your customer.

What we take on

Dead phones and tablets

No power, boot loops and shorted rails on iPhone, iPad, Samsung and Pixel boards.

Charging circuits

Charging and power-delivery chips, after the port swap did not fix it.

Torn connectors and pads

FPC and board-to-board connectors ripped off during a screen or battery job, rebuilt properly.

Console HDMI and power

PS5 and Xbox HDMI ports and chips, Switch charging chips and USB-C ports, no-power consoles.

MacBook and laptop boards

Logic boards, USB-C controllers, DC jacks, liquid damage and firmware chips.

Data jobs

Getting a dead board running long enough to recover the customer’s data, assessed honestly first.

Graphics cards

Power stages, melted 16-pin connectors, video outputs and PCB damage.

Commercial and legacy boards

Control boards, POS, CCTV and older equipment — assessed by enquiry before anything is promised.

How trade work runs

  1. 1

    Enquire

Tell us about your business and the jobs you have, using the form below.

  2. 2

    Agree how it works

We talk through the work, how quotes are sent and approved, and how devices come back to you.

  3. 3

    Send jobs in

Drop off in Newcastle or post them, each with a job sheet: your reference, the fault, and anything already tried.

  4. 4

    Diagnose and quote

Every job is diagnosed and quoted before any work. You quote your customer with a real number.

  5. 5

    Repair and return

Repaired, tested and returned to you — or returned unrepaired with an honest explanation if it is not viable.

With every job

  • Your job reference and a contact for questions
  • The fault as your customer described it
  • Anything already tried — parts swapped, previous repair attempts
  • Whether the data matters more than the device
  • Passcode handling: leave it off the sheet unless we ask for it to test

Trade questions

How is trade work priced?

▼
Board-level repairs are price on application — you get a fixed quote once we know what has failed, and nothing is done until you agree it. We agree with each shop how quotes are sent and approved, so you are never waiting on a phone call to move a job on.

Will you contact my customer?

▼
No. Trade jobs are between us and your shop. We report and quote to you, and return the device to you.

What if a board cannot be repaired?

▼
We tell you plainly, explain what we found, and return it. Saying no to a long shot is part of the service.

A previous repair went wrong. Will you still take it?

▼
Yes — torn pads and connectors from a screen or battery job are a large part of trade work. Note what was attempted on the job sheet.

Can I send a one-off job before setting up trade work?

▼
Yes. Pick "a one-off job for now" on the form, or book it as a board-level repair under the Trade or Business option.
