Garmin Watch Battery Replacement
Newcastle

Used to get two weeks and now barely a day? Garmin batteries degrade with age and heavy GPS use. We fit a fresh cell to Fenix, Forerunner, Epix, Instinct, Venu and Vivoactive watches at our Newcastle workshop, then re-seal the case so it stays protected.

Garmin Battery & Power Repairs

A new cell is not always the answer — sometimes it is the charging contacts or a software setting. Our free diagnostic finds the real cause first.

Battery Cell Replacement

A new high-quality lithium cell fitted to your exact model, the case re-sealed with a fresh gasket, and a full charge cycle tested before handover.

Battery Drain Diagnosis

Always-on display, constant pulse-ox, music and over-frequent GPS can mimic a failing battery. We check settings and firmware before recommending a cell swap.

Charging Fault Check

A watch that will not hold charge is often the rear charging contacts or the cable, not the battery. We test the full charging path so you only pay for what is wrong.

Swollen Battery Safe Removal

A bulging back or lifting screen means a swollen cell — stop using it. We remove and replace it safely and check the surrounding board for damage.

Frequently Asked Questions

Lithium cells lose capacity over years of charge cycles, and heavy GPS, always-on display, pulse-ox and music playback accelerate the drop you notice day to day. If your watch is a few years old and endurance has fallen off a cliff, a new cell usually restores most of the original battery life. We confirm it is the battery and not a setting or charging issue during the free diagnostic.
Yes — these are among the most common Garmin battery jobs we do. Each model has a sealed case that has to be opened carefully and re-sealed afterwards, which is exactly why a proper workshop repair beats a generic kit. We cover the wider Fenix, Forerunner, Epix, Instinct, Venu and Vivoactive ranges.
We replace the case gasket and seals when we close the watch back up, so water resistance is restored as far as a repaired watch allows. We cannot re-certify the original factory ATM rating, so we recommend treating it as splash- and shower-safe rather than for swimming or diving. We make this clear before you book.
That is usually a swollen battery, and you should stop wearing and charging it. A swelling lithium cell can damage the screen and, rarely, pose a fire risk. Bring it in and we will remove it safely, fit a new cell and check the board underneath for any damage.
Turnaround depends on getting the correct cell and gasket for your model and on careful re-sealing. We give you a realistic timeframe with your quote after the diagnostic, rather than promising a fixed time before we have seen the watch.
