Common Galaxy A34 repairs

Cracked screen

The Galaxy A34 has an AMOLED display, and this is where the trade cuts corners. Plenty of shops fit Samsung phones with cheap "incell" or TFT LCD copies of the screen: they work, but blacks look grey, colours wash out, and battery life suffers. We tell you exactly which panel we are quoting for before you agree to anything.

Battery replacement

At around 3 years old, its battery has usually lost a noticeable share of its capacity — shorter days, sudden shutdowns, or a phone that gets warm while it charges. You can check how the battery is doing in the Samsung Members app, under Diagnostics. Galaxy batteries are glued in and the phone opens from the back, so the rear panel has to be lifted and properly re-sealed afterwards — which is exactly where cheap battery jobs leave phones less water resistant than they were.

Fingerprint reader

Depending on the exact variant, the fingerprint reader on an A-series Galaxy sits either in the side key or under the display. We check which your Galaxy A34 has before quoting, and test it before and after any screen work.

Charging faults

Charging faults on the Galaxy A34 come through its USB-C port, and the port is usually the problem rather than the board. Lint packs into the bottom until the plug cannot seat, and ports wear with every cable pulled out at an angle. If Samsung's "moisture detected" warning appears when the phone is bone dry, the port is often holding residue rather than water. A careful clean fixes a lot of these; if not, it is a port repair rather than anything more serious.

Liquid damage

Liquid damage on the Galaxy A34 is corrosion, not just water, and it keeps spreading after the phone feels dry. Any water-resistance rating is a factory figure that weakens with every drop and every time the phone is opened, and Samsung's warranty does not cover liquid damage. Turn it off, do not charge it, and skip the rice. We strip it, clean the board ultrasonically and test each part individually — and if it cannot be saved economically, we say so and put your data first.

Cameras, speakers and buttons

Blurry or black photos, a cracked camera lens cover, muffled speakers and buttons that stop responding are all individually repairable on the Galaxy A34. Cracked lens glass is often just the cover — a much smaller job than a new camera module — so we check which one you actually need before quoting.

Galaxy A34 repair FAQs

How much does a Galaxy A34 screen repair cost?

It depends which panel goes in, which is why we tell you exactly what we are quoting for. Booking shows our current price for each repair on your model where we have one, or a free quote where we do not, and after the diagnostic you get a fixed figure before any work starts. £45 diagnostic, waived on repair.

Is it worth repairing a Galaxy A34 in 2026?

Usually, yes. The Galaxy A34 is quick enough for everyday use and a screen, battery or charging port costs a fraction of replacing it. You get a fixed quote first and can weigh it against a new phone with the real number in front of you.

Are you a Samsung authorised service centre?

No, and it is worth being clear about what that means. We are an independent workshop. A manufacturing fault on a phone still in warranty should go to Samsung, where it is free. For accidental damage, or a phone out of warranty, an independent repair usually costs less and is quicker, and we tell you exactly which part we are fitting so you can compare like with like.

Will I lose my photos and apps?

No. Screen, battery, charging port and camera repairs do not touch your storage, and we do not wipe phones as part of a repair. Back up to Samsung Cloud, Google or a computer before sending any phone to any repairer anyway. Recent Galaxy phones also have Maintenance mode, in Settings under device care, which keeps your photos, messages and accounts out of sight while the phone is being tested — worth switching on before you hand it over.

Can I post my Galaxy A34 to you?

Yes. Our mail-in service is free both ways, tracked and insured, and covers the whole UK. You get the same fixed quote before any work starts and the same 30-day warranty as a walk-in.

How long does a Galaxy A34 repair take?

Most screen and battery repairs are done the same day once the phone is with us, provided the part for your exact model is in stock.
