Nano 3rd gen battery replacement
The original battery in a Nano 3rd gen is around 19 years old. A fresh cell restores full playback time, and we re-seal the case afterwards so it closes properly without clips or adhesive showing.
The short, wide "fat Nano" with a 2-inch screen — the first Nano to play video. Screen replacement and a fresh battery are the two repairs that bring one of these fully back to life.
Fixed quote before any work — no surprises.
Restores full playback on a 2007 device.
No moving parts — nothing mechanical to fail.

The Nano 3rd gen uses flash memory, so it has none of the mechanical failures that affect hard-drive iPods — no clicking, no skipping when it is knocked. If yours will not hold a sync or is not recognised, that is a connector, cable or software fault rather than a dying drive, and the diagnostic tells us which.
Screens on the Nano 3rd gen scratch and crack at the edges long before they stop working. We replace the display, and where the LCD underneath is still good we can fit new glass on its own instead of a whole assembly.
A click wheel that has gone unresponsive, or a centre button that needs a hard press, is usually grit and worn contacts rather than a dead board. We clean or replace the wheel assembly on the Nano 3rd gen so it clicks properly again.
If your Nano 3rd gen will not charge or is not seen by a computer, the 30-pin dock connector is the usual cause — the contacts corrode and the pins wear. We test the full charging path and the headphone output together, since a bad joint often affects both.
