iRepair Labs – Terms & Conditions of Service

By booking or signing for a repair, diagnostic, or data recovery service with iRepair Labs, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms form a legally binding agreement between the customer (“you”) and iRepair Labs (“we”, “our”, or “us”).

1. General Terms

1.1 You authorise iRepair Labs to perform diagnostics, repairs, unlocking, and/or data recovery on your device.
1.2 You confirm you are the lawful owner of the device, or have permission from the owner to authorise repairs.
1.3 While every effort is made to handle devices with care, iRepair Labs accepts no responsibility for damage caused by pre-existing faults, manufacturing defects, or previous third-party repairs.
1.4 All repairs are carried out on a best-effort basis. Success cannot be guaranteed.
1.5 Repairs may void any manufacturer warranty. iRepair Labs is not responsible for any loss of warranty as a result of our work.
1.6 Customers must remove SIM cards, memory cards, and accessories before repair. iRepair Labs will not be responsible for lost items.

2. Diagnostics, Quotes & Fees

2.1 Apple MacBook repairs are subject to a £45 diagnostic fee if the repair is deemed uneconomical after inspection.
2.2 Apple iPhone repairs are subject to a £20 diagnostic fee under the same condition.
2.3 You retain the right to proceed with the repair after diagnostics, even if deemed uneconomical.
2.4 All quotes are estimates only and may vary depending on parts availability or unforeseen issues.
2.5 A minimum diagnostic or labour fee may apply if you choose not to proceed with a quoted repair.

3. Data, Privacy & GDPR Compliance

3.1 iRepair Labs accepts no responsibility for data loss, corruption, or alteration during repair or diagnostics.
3.2 Customers must back up their data before submitting a device.
3.3 Data recovery is attempted on a best-effort basis and is not guaranteed.
3.4 We comply fully with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
3.5 For data protection concerns, customers may contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk.

4. Repair Disclaimer

4.1 Repairs are carried out at the owner’s risk. Some faults may only become apparent after repair.
4.2 All existing faults must be disclosed before work begins. iRepair Labs is not liable for undisclosed or latent faults.
4.3 In the unlikely event of an error by our engineers, iRepair Labs will take responsibility and offer an appropriate remedy, such as a replacement device or alternative resolution.
4.4 If a replacement device is provided and accepted by the customer, the damaged device becomes the property of iRepair Labs.
4.5 iRepair Labs strives for accuracy but cannot guarantee identical performance or aesthetics compared to manufacturer standards, particularly for Apple, Samsung, and other branded devices.

5. Water Damage & Water Resistance

5.1 Liquid damage repairs carry no warranty, regardless of success.
5.2 Water damage may cause ongoing or secondary issues after repair, for which iRepair Labs accepts no liability.
5.3 If a non-powering device is revived after repair, a minimum £15 charge applies.
5.4 Additional charges may be incurred if further underlying issues are discovered.
5.5 Repairs may affect a device’s water resistance. iRepair Labs is not liable if a device loses its waterproofing or seal integrity. Resealing can be requested at an additional cost but is not guaranteed to be 100% effective.

6. Repair Times, Delays & Force Majeure

6.1 Repair times are estimates only and may vary due to parts availability or supplier delays.
6.2 iRepair Labs is not liable for delays caused by natural disasters, postal delays, power outages, courier issues, or government actions.
6.3 Devices must be collected within 90 days of repair completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

7. Abandoned Devices

7.1 Devices not collected within 30 days of notification of repair completion may be considered abandoned.
7.2 After 30 days, iRepair Labs reserves the right to dispose of, recycle, or repurpose the device to recover costs.
7.3 It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure contact details are accurate and up to date.

8. Payment, Refunds & Cancellations

8.1 Full payment is due upon completion of repairs and before collection or return of the device.
8.2 No refunds will be issued once repair work has commenced.
8.3 Partial refunds or goodwill gestures may be issued at iRepair Labs’ discretion, excluding labour and diagnostic costs.
8.4 For unlocking services, payment must be made in advance. Cancellation after initiation may incur a 50% charge of the unlocking fee.

9. Warranty

9.1 iRepair Labs offers a 30-day limited warranty on parts and labour for applicable repairs.
9.2 The warranty excludes:

  • Software repairs and data issues

  • Water-damaged devices

  • Battery replacements

  • Accidental or user-inflicted damage after repair
    9.3 The warranty becomes void if the device is opened, tampered with, or repaired by a third party following our service.
    9.4 For screen repairs, warranty does not cover cracks or physical damage.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1 iRepair Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of business, profit, or data.
10.2 Our liability shall in no case exceed the total value of the repair service provided.

11. Legal Jurisdiction

11.1 These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
11.2 Any disputes shall be resolved under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
